Helping to keep our local first responders hydrated. Thank you all for your service to our community!

FIRE PREVENTION WEEK:

October is Fire Prevention Month October 6th-12th was recognized as Fire Prevention Week. We have great admiration and appreciation for the incredible sacrifice and dedication made by our local first responders every day. We couldn't think of a better time than Fire Prevention Week to visit local fire departments to deliver cases of bottled water to those brave men and women who keep our communities safe. In addition to cases of water, we also delivered boxes of our SERVPRO "Care Kits" to several local departments. These "Care Kits" contain personal hygiene products which are to be distributed to those who have been displaced from their homes following a fire.

It was great meeting and catching up with so many members of our local fire departments. Thank you to our first responders for all you do. We're incredibly grateful for your service!

2024 Pumpkin Fest!

We can't wait for the 2025 Keene Pumpkin Fest! We love this historic community event!

The Keene Pumpkin Festival is a staple event in our local community. Originally, the Keene Pumpkin Festival ran from 1991 to 2014. Several times, the event captured the Guinness World Record for most lit jack-o-lanterns in one place. The record culminated in 2013 when the town saw over 30,000 lit pumpkins! After a hiatus for several years, the Keene Pumpkin Festival has returned to beautiful Downtown Keene, NH.

A supporter of the Keene Pumpkin Festival for many years, SERVPRO® Team Paul was thrilled to once again get behind this county wide event. This year, SERVPRO® of Team Paul contributed by sponsoring a local school who carved pumpkins for display at the event. We had a blast working alongside staff members from Mt. Caesar Elementary School (Swanzey, NH) loading all the incredibly carved pumpkins by their students and transporting them to Keene! We also assisted with setting up the pumpkins on shelving along Main Street. The students did a tremendous job carving!

We are so proud to support this local community tradition!

SERVPRO Care Kits

SERVPRO of Barre, Montpelier Co-Owner, Derek Paul recently delivering "Care Kits" to the Montpelier Fire Department.

SERVPRO of Barre, Montpelier is highly skilled and experienced in fire and water damage restoration. The time immediately following an untimely disaster can be stressful, frightening, and complicated. SERVPRO of Barre, Montpelier's objective is to minimize the stress and complexity of these situations. Through timely response, consistent communication, and premiere service, SERVPRO of Barre, Montpelier works to make each property damage event "Like it never even happened."

When a property emergency occurs that is so severe the occupants of the building are displaced, SERVPRO of Barre, Montpelier created "Care Kits." SERVPRO® Care Kits are small bags filled with personal hygiene products such as soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, tissues, and shampoo. These Care Kits were made with our clients in mind to eliminate the process of having to purchase these items from a store when they are forced to relocate when repairs are made to their property.

Often, Care Kits are distributed to local Fire Departments and can then be given to those who have recently experienced a property fire.

Fire Prevention Month

Stay prepared and stay safe. Fire safety should be practiced regularly.

October is just around the corner, and it is also Fire Prevention Month. October is the perfect time to examine your family's emergency preparedness plans for your home as well as your business. Also look into the status of your fire escape plan. Practice your escape plan regularly. It's a good idea to learn at least two ways out of every room and be sure all doors and windows that could be used to exit the room are open easily and are free of clutter and debris.

Look for places within your home fires could potentially start. Identify possible fire hazards and safely take care of them. Be sure to have a safe outside meeting space in the event of an emergency evacuation.

And as always, don't forget to check your smoke detectors and test them periodically. Get used to the noise they make. This is also a good time to check your fire extinguishers.

It's always a good idea to prepare for a fire emergency before it happens. Stay prepared and stay safe.

Mold Remediation with SERVPRO

The mold remediation process depends on several determining factors: the amount of mold present in the property, what types of surfaces the mold has contaminated, and what areas of the property have been, or not have been, contaminated.

Prior to the mold remediation process, containment procedures are considered and performed to prevent cross-contamination to unaffected parts of the building. In addition to containment, HEPA filtered negative air machines are installed to control the air quality within the work area and to protect both property owners and workers. Air scrubbers and HEPA filtered vacuums are used regularly in mold remediation projects. 

Antifungal and antimicrobial treatments are used to eliminate mold colonies and help prevent new colonies from forming. Porous building materials that have been infested by mold are carefully removed and disposed of. These materials may include drywall, flooring, or insulation.

Furniture and personal items are cleaned by SERVPRO® professionals. Industry-leading techniques are used during this process and our team is also trained to remove and eliminate odors caused by the presence of mold.

Once the affected areas are cleaned, dried, and necessary building materials are removed, repairs can be made, and the property is returned to its previous condition.

Locally owned and operated by the Paul family since, our team quickly built a reputation as the most reliable provider of emergency restoration services following property damage caused by fire, smoke, or water damage. Around the clock availability, timely service, and professionally conducted processes were, and still are, the cornerstones of our organization.

In addition to fire and water cleanup and restoration, we provide clients with a variety of professionals services to be utilized within their residential or commercial properties. 

Mold damage remediation. Although we do not provide mold testing, mold remediation is one of our most provided services.

Flood and storm damage mitigation can be extensive with the constantly changing weather throughout New England. We have the capacity to assist with property damage no matter how extreme or widespread the event may be.

Biohazard restoration. More specifically, trauma, crime scene, and vandalism related cleaning and restoration. We often work with property managers, property owners, and even local law enforcement when dealing with mishaps and damage in these areas.
